REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR THE 2010 SOUTHERN OREGON BOOK & AUTHOR FAIR IN ASHLAND, OREGON!
Who Can Register:
Published Northwest authors (meaning living and/or working in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S.) of fiction and non-fiction, traditional publishing houses, POD, or self-published. If your book is only available in e-book format, however, this fair is not the venue for you. FYI, there’s definitely potential publicity benefits of early registration — scroll to bottom for that info.
Publishers may also reserve table space at The Southern Oregon Book and Author Fair if you guarantee that several of your authors will definitely be on-hand throughout the day to autograph their books.
Artisans are not permitted to register for this book and author fair, which is dedicated to the promotion of Northwest authors and their books. (Authors who also have other items supportive/part of their books, such as audio books, cards or artwork from their books, may bring small quantities of them to sell; There is no room for large displays or hangings.)
How to Register
First: You must sign up to our Yahoo Email Group (bookandauthorfair) as part of your registration process. The organizer does not send general info and updates directly to authors — These updates/announcements are done entirely through “blasts” to the Yahoo group members. If you are later discovered to have not signed up for the bookandauthorfair Yahoo group, your book fair registration may be voided and someone else placed in your spot.
Second: You must download (.pdf) the author registration. Registration is on a first registered & paid/first served basis.
Then do two things with it:
- Print out and complete your Southern Oregon Book & Author Fair author registration form and mail it, along with a check for your table fee (and any optional sponsorship or t-shirt fees) made out to “River Canyon Press”. Mail the check and completed registration form to:
River Canyon Press
P. O. Box 62
Roseburg, OR 97470
About Cancellations & Refunds
See the FAQ page for our cancellation and refund policy. Cancellations must be received in writing by the organizer.
** Note from Book Fair Organizer, Claire Krulikowski: Please do not call or “visit” Jura. Her volunteering to handle book fair registration/funds does not require or allow time for personal consultations. All answers can be found on this site and through the Yahoo Email announcement system.
Incentives for Early Registration
Authors who register early enough may:
a) Be listed prior to the date of the book and author fair on our participating authors page along with your genre and website URL. This is a great way to boost the internet visibility of your site! The Southern Oregon Book & Author Fair’s website URL will also be included in all print and online PR, so you may gain reader visibility this way as well.
b) Have an opportunity to be selected for inclusion in our advance PR package that is sent out very early (2+ months in advance). This package includes a short list of authors from the longer list of registered Northwest authors (particularly Oregon authors)- providing editors with information about the selected authors, their books, genre, etc. The earlier you register, the better the chance of your name being included in the advance PR.
Why such early PR? In order to get picked up by the bi-monthly and monthly papers/magazines.
AND PLEASE REMEMBER TO JOIN THE YAHOO E-MAIL GROUP. Joining the bookandauthorfair Yahoo e-mail group is required for every registered participant. Even if you are not yet sure about actually registering for the Southern Oregon Book & Author Fair, getting on this Yahoo email group is the only way you will receive updates/announcements.
